Why do most African women dislike their hair? Big, wavy hair is the most gorgeous thing ever!
I just want to bury my face in it and kiss everything under it!

Some dont have the patience to do the up keep. It's really a lot of work to. I love my hair. I've always done it myself and I know when I shampoo it and conditoned and wet set it . Roll it up nightly, remove the rollers in the morning, style it and do this over and over, then when it's time to add a relaxer to it and add color to it, it's a lot of work, but that's the price I will pay to have great hair. It doesn't bother me...

Because it takes a lot of work to take care of and it's very fragile and damages easily.
But it's part of our mystique so I love it.

It's hard to take care of. It thick and frizzy and I need a relaxer to live with mine.

weirddddd not that you like their hair but that you make it sound like only african american woman have this hair i am white have this hair also hate it,,,,,its big unruly to thick for its own good and often gives me headaches it never looks good and i go through brushes like crazy i understand their problem, my problem, OUR problem wish you could too

im african and i luv my hair and the other girls might not like their cause they might not perm it or wash it

i'm not african american but i hate my hair to it's so coarse and curly and poofy.... but i usually straighten it....
