i havent been in a relationship since i finished college 7 yrs ago -- recently i thought about jumping back in to the dating scene-- how should i go about meeting women that have something in common with me? how can i find a woman who will leave me alone on nfl sundays?

Go to lounges, and clubs (note i didn't say bars) maybe join groups and or associations with people in your same profession. Try places in your everyday life. Introduce yourself to a woman you are attracted to.. If they say no move on....

Find activities outside of work that interest you and participate in them. Join a group, take a class, volunteer-- whatever sounds like fun to you. This way, you are guaranteed that you will have at least one thing in common with every woman you meet there!
Go to sporting events, and play sports in adult leagues-- this might help you find a woman to leave you alone during football games, or one who will cheer alongside you!

Do some activity that you like, and if you meet girls there, they'll like it too. If you don't, it's okay, because you're doing something you like. If your girlfriend won't leave you along on nfl sundays even after you explain how important they are to you, maybe she's not very considerate and you don't need to be with her. On the other hand, maybe it's not so great of you to put football before her....

go out and get to know one, and find out if she likes football too. so you can watch it with her. instead of telling her to leave you alone on sundays when the game's on.
