If Immigrants stealing American jobs how come Anglo men and women don't pick fruit in the fields?

Well as far as I'm concerned, the immigrants are not stealing jobs. Anybody want a job??? Right now they don't have enough farm workers to pick the fruit in Washington State. They are talking about the HUGE losses that they are going to have because there are not enough people to pick the fruit. If they don't get it off the trees then it will be wasted. Where are all the "Anglo" men and women you're talking about?? They can't even find enough workers using the worksource program (unemployment). What it really comes down to is that most, not all, of the "Americans" are lazy. They take what they have for granted. Most have never really lived in extreme poverty. What most of you people don't understand is that most illegals come here out of necessity. They do it because where they're from, there are no jobs or jobs that pay very little. Before you can give an opinion on something you need to investigate it and understand it from all points of view. You need to be able to recognize what the pros and cons are for both sides.

If Americans won't do agricultural work (supposedly), why is it in WI there are no illegal immigrants working in the fields picking rocks, weeding gin sing, milking cows, and bailing hay? Up here in WI, we have a lot of "Anglo" men and women, and they are the ones in the fields here. So your implication that we are all lazy and the agricultural market would crumble without illegal immigrants is FOOLISH. They are ILLEGAL - as in BREAKING THE LAW. Why is this so hard to understand???

America moved away from the agricultural society nearly a century ago during the Industrial Revolution. They can go pick fruit in Columbia or some other 3rd world country. We are now mainly (well minus outsourcing) a manufacting society. Many, many Americans work in and will continue to work in manufacturing - they don't need illegals taking those jobs from them.

Because no american will hire an american in their fields I have a nursery up the road from me & I tried applying there & they say no opening nope no openings cause all mexicans work there and the owner is white they get cheap wages & bring plants & fruit home lol
