It's typical for a man to include his brothers and even his bride's brothers in the wedding party. He'll be proud to stand up with you.

Not at all. Most people have their family involved in the wedding party. If your fiance has any sisters, I'm sure she would involve them (unless there is some unknown issue with them).
Actually, I would find it strange to not have your brother as a groomsman.

I do not think that its weird because I am doing the exact same thing except that my fiance has met my brother and they get along just fine. It will be okay once you explain what you want and how it would make you feel to have your brother as part of your wedding party. Good luck and congratulations.

No, not weird at all. Maybe you could get the two together for a meeting sometime before the wedding. Family should always be included in this special time in your lives.
Congrats and best wishes!

no its not wierd at all its actually a normal thing to want your brother to be a part of your wedding. I am sure he would want to include his sister/s he he has any. A wedding is an affair that should include friends and family and its not your asking him to make your brother his bestman you just want him in the wedding

No, NOone says that some of the groomsmen can't be for you... Whoever is in the wedding should be there because they are close to you if that's the case with your brother then it's your right.

The groomsmen are normall freinds fo the groom.
Your male members (who are not walking you down the isle) should be ushers. IN particular, your brother should escort your mother down the isle to her seat in the 1st pew. He then stands gaurding the center isle so that no one walks down it. He greets the guests, asks if they're w/ the bride or groom & motions them ot one of the other side isle. If you don't have someone doing this, people w/ walk down YOUR isle! They're crush all the rose pedals there. If you don't have pedals & you're in Los Angeles, I've got bazillions of them! Come & get all you want.

No, he should definitely be in the wedding if the two of you are close! I was a junior bridesmaid (many years ago) at my brother's wedding and I hardly knew his wife. It didn't matter--it's a family thing!

I've heard of lots of people doing this. I photograph weddings and have seen it often. So no, I don't think it would be weird. As long as your fiance is comfortable with it.
