There is no way you can know for certain if your baby will be early.Dr's have told women"you will probably go into labor tonight"But that woman did not go into labor for 2 more wks.Or a dr might tell a women"you wont be going into labor anytime soon"But that same woman ended up at the hospital just hours later and being in labor. You just cant know for certain.

No. The only way would be if your OB decided to do a c-section but alot of times this is for medical reasons and is usually only done a week maybe 2 weeks early. If you are going natural there is no way to be sure. I went 4 weeks early but only because I got a stomach virus and was vomitting for a couple hours straight. The put me in the hospital for observation and since I was dehydrated it threw my body into labor. I would not recommend this, it was not fun.

No, not unless you are scheduled for an early C-Section. I was on bed rest for preterm labor at 27 weeks. At 28 weeks I dilated a 1/2 cm; at 30 weeks 1 cm and when released off bed rest I was 3 cm. I went into labor the day before my due date!

Well... if you get pre-eclampsia in your 30th week, you can be pretty damn sure that the baby is coming early as the ONLY cure is giving birth. If you're asking whether there's a way to PREDICT premature birth... no, not really.

No it all depends, it is hard to detect it.. However, I am speaking from experience I can not carry a child full term because I have a incompetence Cervix.. This is the reason I have to have a cerclage in order to carry my child full term. A cerclage is when a doctor sticthes your sach, so that it won't burst.
