Lord the giver of life and love,
I hang my head in sorrow forever.
I am suffering so for promises broken,
You are the one who proclaims
Forgivesness is given
To those who forgive.
Why then do I suffer from
Darkness when truth be told
I die within every moment
My whole being is tortured
From lack of a love promised
To one another only to be in vain.
Holy Father forgive what is done
Answer the prayers of the faithful
Know that I am headed for nothingness.
The darkness from the light is coming
Soon the freedom from monotony
Will be given to the one who grew tired
Why were the words of love offered
When they weren't pursued?
Holy Father I ask you for the one
The one moment of a look into the eyes
Of the one I adore and love.
He has a voice of an angel
The walk of a warrior
The hands of a healer
But the unforgiving heart to do so.......
Am I not worth the words spoken?
If not, let me be struck down
By the rod of your strength
To no longer suffer the uncaring.

Nebulous? Don't believe so. It says everything that should or would be said when someone loves another . It is not vague at all. If someone can't understand it than they are unable to percieve true love.

You sound heart broken. Wish there was a pill for emotional pain. Humans lie. God will lead you thru this valley and on the other side, the sun will be shining and it will be a new day. He tells us "Be still and know that I am God". Take comfort in that.

It's a moving statement, but it is full of suffering, self-pity and tortured masochism. After I read it, I want to shake your lover and tell him/her that he/she is not worthy of you. I don't see this as a beacon of light and a spiritual statement. It is a prayer, but also a criticism of God. Now that I've said that, you have to know I am a pretty deeply Agnostic person, though I do believe in God.
