i mean, if we dont let them go to school, we'll just have a buncha illiterate people. i way rather have a lot of educated illegals!

Attending the same schools yes but I do not think they should be offered everything for free. We work for our living and it seems they get everything handed to them on whatever whim they wish. My daughter had a little girl in her class that due to not speaking the english language was able to pick which school to attend and the school district pays for transportation- not right. Why not make her learn english in the school district she lives in? Instead of special treatment. We pay full price for lunches and they get them free. If they want to be here then they need all the same rights, Taxes, paying full price, and most important to have to work just as hard as the "Americans" do. Period

The public school system to illegal inmigrants [your words] is only to destroy them! In New York they placed a few Mexican children with metally challenged children just because the Mexican Children did not speak English! You ever been to a 2nd grader lunch time in New York city, and see the lunch lady take the milk or fruit away from an Hispanic child and put in the white child tray?Oe worse these children get punished more , are sometimes hit, I have seen and stood up to it! No wonder there is so much violence, gangs, drugs, the system is gearde to destroy them by breaking their self. Sorry to tell you, but is the truth, this is why we say, our children can survive the ghetto, but not the school system!

No they should not be allowed to use our public school system.

I understand what you are saying, but you have to understand it stems from more than just taxes. If we give them ANY reason to come here, then they will continue to do it illegally. We should not offer anything to illegal immigrants that is offered and received by those here legally or citizens of this country. If we do, then what is the point? Why not just allow everyone in the world to use our programs and education systems? It just doesn't make sense.

The other thing one must think about is that the government gives a school district so much money for the number of kids attending. Now, if they give X amount of dollars to a class of 20, and low and behold, there are 45 children in that class. So now instead of having $100 per child for educating for the year, there is only $45 per child for education. Quite a difference when you look at supplies, paying the teacher, text books (which can run up to $75 or so each), and other necessities. Now you have to make sure that the kids that come from the illegal immigrants (that are not paying for the education) eat. What if their families can't afford to pay for lunch for them? Well, don't worry about that - we'll feed them with a supplimental school lunch program (that again they don't pay for). So now you are trying to support not only the US students that come from poor families, but illegal immigrants that are poor and unable to pay for things. Financially, it does not make sense at all. Keep that going, and our education system will be bankrupt. Now how is that going to help our children that are here legally?

There are schools in their country. They just choose to come here with the promise of "a better life". To me, that is selfish. If they want a better life, they need to either make it happen for them in their country, or go through our systems legally. I like knowing who is in this country. I also like knowing that my daughter will receive an education when she enters school. This is the education that my husband and I pay for every year with our tax dollars. I think we deserve the right moreso than someone in this country illegally.

And I am puzzled - if they are in this country illegally, then how are they allowed/given welfare? They should not be allowed any such benefit. If they want to live here, then they need to find a legal way to get money. And by the laws, they can't get money legally without being legal.

Let them to go school in their own country. 50% of the illegal adults never graduated high school.

In some state out east (forgot which one), they wanted to pass a law where illegals get in-state tuition rates (for college) while Americans from other states have to pay the out-of-state tuition which is sometimes 50% higher. Is that fair?? I know, life isn't fair.

Oh and they want bi-lingual education here too now...at least they are lobbying for it. But regardless, they get an American education here anyway no questions asked.

But I see your point but it gets a lot deeper.

We have a local school, it is sad that most of them are Hispanics. Our kids have to learn slowly because most of the kids don't know English. I think Illegals should not attend our public schools. I think they should have to go to school somewhere else and pay for their education. For college, I don't think they should be able to get scholarships, or finical aid. ALL ILLEGALS GO HOME!

Public schools are free. Parents pay for them with their taxes. If the person is not a legal citizen, that means they do not pay any taxes. That means they use the Library, Roads, Schools and such, for free. I don't think they should be able to schools for free.

They need to pay. It's that simple. Around here the hispanic population has jumped around 120% in the past decade or so, therefore causing 3 or 4 new schools to be built. If they don't want to pay, get the **** out.

I completely agree with you.

First of all you're wrong. They give them classes in spanish so they don't fall behind in other subjects and they give them like 2 english classes at my school so quit complaining. They have it harder than you do. Didn't you know that English is the hardest language to learn. I guess you don't because you already know it.

No. Illegal activity such as invading the USA should not be rewarded under any circumstances. Jail them, fine them, and send them back to wherever they came from.

I hope the illegal children are checked for TB, the Plague and other diseases so American children don't have to die because our politicians are cowardly and politically correct.
