An initial consultation (usually free) with an attorney will answer all your questions about whether you qualify or not. Make sure to question the attorney's track record to make sure you have a good shot once you have paid the money upfront. Do not even consider filing your own bankruptcy. Mainly, make sure you understand that the next ten years even trying to find a job or apartment will be a horrible experience. Consider bankruptcy as a last resort for debts only if they exceed twice your annual income... and then think again.
