Sometimes cats just run away. Others run away when they are pregnant or even sometimes they know they are old and going to die soon so they run off to do so. Also male cats tend to run off for days at a time and then return home hungry and tired after chasing female cats around.

they are able to do, notwithstanding this is not comparable to they're finding and going 'omigod mi existence is undesirable byebye' like some stroppy teen. They 'run away' frequently because of the fact they don't seem to be fastened (male or woman) and are in seek of a mate, or often times because of the fact they get curious and wander off, or because of the fact they haven't any homing instinct, or are new to the section- as long as you seem after your cat nicely, this is conscious of the place it lives, and is fastened, there's no reason in the back of your cat to 'run away'. in case you're relatively in contact, you ought to continuously no longer enable your cat out, yet that does assure if the cat ever escapes, it in all possibility relatively will disapper. My parents' cat is ten years previous and is an interior/exterior cat- and he's in no way 'run away' or 'disappered', yet he's a enormous scaredy cat.

Mine did too. Mine was a male cat 5 yrs. old and he went out one night and never came back and that was 3 mths. ago. Haven't seen him at all. I posted signs, called shelters, everything you could do. My cat was fixed also. I wish I knew the answer to your question and my question remain's unanswered as to where my cat went and why? I hope you cat come's back. Hopefully your's wasn't missing as long as mine. My cat would take risks like he would jump on the porch roof to come in the house and fell off of it one night but it didn't hurt him. It is very hard when they are missing and you don't know where they went and did someone hurt them. Anyway, good luck!

I'm sorry your cat ran off. Maybe it fell in love with another cat and is following it. Or sometimes, they just feel like they should live with someone else. My cat loved us very much, but left on it's own and "moved in" with my neighbor who was an older woman who had just lost her husband. I think our cat kept her from dying from a broken heart as it gave her someone to care for. Cats are very smart and helpful like that. I hope yours comes back to you, but if it doesn't, I hope it's helping someone in need like that. It will be happy and live a long time that way.

Cats just take off on their own sometimes. Other times, a cat will just start hanging out at a place where someone feeds it. I had a cat once that disappeared for 7 weeks, and when I had given him up for lost, he suddenly came back. I hope yours does too.

my indoor cat did that once, and I was so sad and scared. She has no front claws, and so I thought I would never see her again. She was gone two days. She came back.
I don't know how long your cat has been gone, but if it's just a short time - don't give up hope.
All the best to you

if your cat is male and not fixed then he is busy and will come back when he is ready. Cats in general like to wonder around. Give him/her time to come home on their own then put up fliers with your cats pic on it

Cats are very sensitive to tension. If their owner is distracted and doesn't communicate well with the cat it will go elswhere. Cats like company.

I hope your kitty comes back. It could be a courtship issue, or your cat could have become lost. Try putting posters up around the neighborhood if he/she doesn't come back by tomorrow.
