Please finish high school. Two months until 18. That means seven more months until you graduate. You've done 11 years. Twelve if you did kindergarten. Thirteen if you did preschool. You can do seven months standing on your head. And the reality of it is it will probably be easier for you to finish high school if you're still living at home. However, if you are in an unsafe situation there, and you have another safer place to stay, you might not even have to wait the two months. The honest truth is that the rules for when you can drop out of school and when you can move out of your parents' home totally depend on what state you live in, and you don't say. If you talk to your school guidance counselor about this, he will know both answers. You can do an internet search for your state's department of education and look up the school ruling. And I really don't think there's any state in the U.S. where you can't move out when you turn 18, I just don't think it's necessarily going to be a good idea unless there are really strong reasons why. Please be careful with this decision.

Each state has diffrent laws when you can leave HS, but the age is always under 18, you most certainly dont have go at that point, you probably dont now. Check your state. However, if your 18, you should be finished or close. Perhaps you would consider sticking it out, or look into how to get a GED in your area.

When you turn 18 you are legally your own guardian. You can do what you want. However my advice, is stay home and eat free as long as possible. My dad used to put me through drywall. Things couldn't be bad enough to move out while you're still in highschool. And a DIPLOMA looks alot better on a resume than a GED

the same as others stated in previous answers, but one other note. You must go to your local post office and register with the selective service. No, this doesn't mean you have to go into the military, but all men, once they turn 18 must register. This is in case the draft is [hopefully not] reinstated

You are considered a legal adult.
You can vote, be tried as an adult in criminal cases, smoke cigarattes legally, move out (no matter your school status).
Most states allow you to go to school up until age 21.
You can't drink.

Finish high school. Without that diploma you could possibly spend the rest of your life flipping hamburger pattys or asking people in cars, "You want fries with that?"

You should be able to move out at 18.
Maybe your guidance counselor can offer you some advice, if you need to get out more quickly.

You can do what you want to, that is if you can take care of yourself. If you quit high school though, you will show everyone that you are unable to complete your first test in life. High school is far easier that what follows.
