There are a number in Stigmata for me -- the scenes of the main character climbing, writing, obsessively transcribing the Gospel of Thomas on the walls of her apartment. They capture the driven soul in moments of compulsive expression in a way that the audience can recognize on a gut level, even as the words themselves are a mystery to most watching the film.

In a Spanish film, "Along the Milky Way." Two men are wondering what Jesus was like, and they pondered "did he laugh?"

Then it switched to a flashback of Jesus and the disciples running and falling down a hill and laughing so hard they're breathless. Even with my then-agnostic views, I really liked the portrayal of him as a human being.
