The 'flat screen' is is just that - flat. A regular or non-flat is round or concave.

Flat screen TV's are TV's that have a flat screen! All it does is make the viewing angle better so people from the side can see. Some flat screens can even reduce glare.

Traditional tube TVs had somewhat of a rounded tube that curved in towards the corners and edges. In recent years, TV makers developed tubes that were flatter across the whole front of the tube giving the appearance of a flat screen, not to be confused with "Flat Panel" TVs such as Plasma and LCD. These are the type that you can hang on the wall.

Flat screen is a CRT (tube) screen that has less curvature. Regular screens curve slightly out towards the middle. Not really a big difference. I would opt for a flat panel TV, lcd or plasma.

it's easy with a flat you have more space than the original.it's more compact.
