Greasy Italians??? Why are the Italians greasy??? And it wouldn't bother me to see anyone of any race or color picking fruit. It's a job.

You can go F*ck yourself regarding the comment about "greasy Italians". I'd love to see you do anything to benefit society besides lay on your couch all day and get fat. Your ability to offend others is truely annoying yet its fitting for a person without a high school diploma (probably didn't make it to high school did ya?)
I'm so sick of people like you who have no clue what goes on in daily society so you come onto Yahoo Answers to post questions about ridiculous and absurd topics! Get a life and/or an education to see what the rest of the people in the world do!

if they were legal immigrants and major companies had to pay a legal and livable wage, I wouldn't care what kind of American picked fruit. THE PROBLEM IS COMPETITION FROM FOREIGNERS who will work for nothing and live in a household of 14. This is the first time since the great depression that wages have declined.

As the above article illustrates, those industries will be mechanized in a decade or so. In about 20-30 years all retail will be mechanized as well...maybe even earlier. I would suggest that most labor jobs will start being obselete. We don't need more 'cheap labor', we need more minds, and an educated base of children.
