mic gain is used to adjust your output when people say they are having trouble hearing you

RF gain is used to fine tune when you are having trouble hearing others.

delta tune is similar to RF gain it allows you to fine tune voices so they don't sound like chipmunks.

swr cal is for tuning your antenna...you start on the lowest channel and adjust the antenna until you get the lowest reading you can...then you go to the highest channel and do the same.
(most antennas have a small set-screw you will have to loosen in order to adjust them.)

squelch is the simplest you turn it and you get load noise than you just turn back just enough so you don't hear it. If you start to pick up faint transmitions you can back off the squelch even more.

The other questions I need to know to so I hope this bumps yoru question to th etop of the list so more ppl see it.
