Xray showed infections milimeters below the root and the root canal never reached down that far... So now I have to have oral surgery to go down under the root canal and treat it like that.. Has anyone out there had to go thru this and do you know anything about it.? Right now I am on antibotics before my procedure next week..Thanks

Sounds like you are having a apico (root tip snip), the surgeon
makes a little incision at the root that isn't healing and snips it and does what is called a back fill to reseal the root tip. May be alittle uncomfortable, but the tooth should feel better in a couple of weeks. If all fails the next step is extraction, Good Luck!
