I'm a 21 year old female and I really like this guy who's 32. I'm ok with the age difference but what do you think is the age limit a 32 year old guy should go out with? Should he be able to be seen with someone 21 like me or do you think they should to be older for him?

I think that age gap is perfectly appropriate. However, you should ask yourself what your parents would think if you took him home. That should give you an idea of how you will be seen by society in general.

As a 21 year old, you are an adult woman. I do not see anything wrong with dating a man his age in terms of social acceptance. The only thing that might be an issue is what the two of you might have in common. I am not implying that you are immature and I dont want to sound offensive but ALOT of growing up happens between 21 and 32. If you two are compatible and on the same level go for it. Just dont be totally suprised if he seems a bit like a stick in the mud compared to guys your age. We get like that when we get older, lol. Another thing you might want to consider is whether or not he only dates younger women. If this is the case, he might have some insecurity issues with dating someone his own age. A guy I work with once said he prefers younger women because they are "still stupid enough to believe the lies they are told." What a jerk! Alot of men this age or older will pursuit younger women to make themselves feel young again. Or cause they have sex hangups, lol.
But anyway, if this guy seems to be capable of maintaining and pursuiting relationships with women of all ages, then no worries. I hope this helps a little but some things you wont know until you try and we all have to learn lessons in life. Good Luck!!

When looking for a standard what should it be based on? Growing up I have seen a lot of parents with 10 plus year age differences. I think only in the last 20-30 years has it became issue to some. However this is only due to other problems like date rape and other sex crimes.

Remember this whatever you choose in life be "just" about it don't let it roam in yoru mind or always think about if other people are wondering or what your or his arents will say. This is no way to live. What I am saying is don't do anything in a vain manner.

Also think about why you are even asking this question. What is it that made you debate it as being wrong or below a national standard.

Age is never the problem I think it is a cover for other issues.

After 18, it doesn't matter. There is an 18 year age gap between my husband and me (I'm older) and so far, no problems, no weird looks, no nothing. People don't really care.

In this day and age, it really doesn't matter much since more and more older men are dating younger women.
