They are your parents and as unfair as it seems, you have to do what they say until you move out. If they feel that skirts and tank tops are a sin and make you less of a Christian, then you have to abide by their ridiculous rules. I say ridiculous because they are forcing their religious beliefs on you rather than letting you make your own decisions about religion and how to practice it. Shame on them.

I'm not even going to ask what you ware if you can't wear PJ's.

It sounds like you parents are old school. It just isn't lady like to wear pants. There is no scripture supporting this issue. It is gender bias.

Did you know it is a lot easier to have sex when wearing a skirt? You don't even have to wear panties. You less apt to get caught. But if your wearing pants it is more obvious that something was going on.

I know it sounds crude, but if you let it slip in conversation, you will be wearing pants to bed and everywhere else.

I am a none denominational Christian and we practice only what the bible teaches. Ask them to find a scripture in the bible where it says that you must wear skirts or you can't wear p.js If they can't find any then they are adding stuff to God's Word and that is a damnable sin. Adding and/or subtracting from the Word of God is dangerous. If you love them, then guide them. Also, I am saying in Christian love...there was no denominationalism in the church when it was first created so why should there be any now? We are to be Christians only. To add a handle on that name is to say that belonging to Christ is not enough

There isn't anything wrong with pants or sleevless shirts. But you parents might be old fashioned and want you to wear them anyway. i wear jeans all the time and I'm christian. If they don't want you to ask for a compromise, like gauchos. Looks like a skirt and is actually pants. For a top maybe something sleevles with a little jacket thing. Ask them about it. GOOD LUCK!

Your parents only want you to be modest in what you wear. I think they may just be a little over protective. lots of Christians misinterpret a scripture referring to women wearing mens clothing. I dont think they were referring to pants because everyone in the old testament wore robes.

Hate to say this but they are your parents and if you are living under their roof and are not old enough to be on your own then you really have to just grin and bear it for now. Then there is nothing wrong with your parents to want you to dress in a certain way. Is it really that bad. Think about it.

That stinks. I could understand that they wouldn't want youto wear tummy bearing shirts and mini skirts, but what does wearing those clothes have to do with religion.

Explain to your parents that as long as the pants arent extremely tight or anything that its ok, and that fashion is different from when they were teens.

As long as you live under their roof and they are supporting you. It would be best to obey their rules. It make life easier. And when your 18 and move out and are supporting yourself you can wear what you want.
