You got it with grapes and a jar. You do need a way to let the CO2 escape keep other organisms out. BTW the white coating on grapes is yeast.

Easy volume way: 5 gallon carboy bottle, fermentation lock, enough frozen grape juice concentrate to make 4 to 4 1/2 gallons of juice, 7 to 8 pounds of sugar, and 4 oz. regular bakers yeast.

Boil the water to make the juice and dissolve the sugar(do not add juice while boiing) Install fermentation lock. When mixture is at room temperature add yeast then reinstall fermentation lock.

This is an easily variable recipe. You may find the full addition of sugar at first will be a lather show. Experiment! Small additions of sugar during the fermentation process can bring the ethanol content quite high just using bakers yeast. I don't think you can call it wine, but I made 35 gallons of high test brew from frozen lemonade, and another 35 gallons of homegrown apricot brew. Let it clear. The clearing time is the real tooth grinder. Hide some in a cellar for ten years to boot.

I'm still wondering why my GPA went from 3.74 to 3.47 my senior year. I was just doing fluff classes too. I think it was just hard to study with all my drunk buddies hangin' out.

That's like asking how to make bread without all this flour and stuff that those cookbooks try to make you buy.

Dude, ingredients are ingredients, and yeast is one of them. You're welcome to toss some grapes in a jar and see what happens, but if you're not willing to do what it takes, don't bother asking the question.

"The easy way" is to go buy some. Otherwise, it involves work, the proper tools, equipment, and ingredients.
