so he's in 5th grade (I know he's young). He's been going out with this one girl that he really likes. but she broke with him today and he's soooo heart-broken! He even made up this story that he went out with 2 girls after her, then she got jealous and got back together with him! some story, huh? What should he do to get back with her?

At that age, children don't generally have the capability to experience the same depth of romantic feeling as teenagers and adults, so they're mainly mimicking and experimenting. While he might seem sad now, I'd guess he's mostly just had his feelings hurt, and time will likely heal that fairly quickly.

If she got back together with him only because she was jealous...sounds like she's too young and immature for a true relationship...or anything close.
