If it had power that worked for good, Haiti wouldn't be one the only two third world countries in the Western Hemisphere (the other being Cuba, the home of Santeria)

Voodoo is actually a very peacful religion. there are some dark voodoo priests but for the most part it is not much differant from
other forms of paganism...
the main diffeerance would be that Voodoo allows for people to ues it's magick against other people, and is more lienient on the rules involved...
basicaly if i , as a pagan, use my prayers and magick to harm another i know that it will be visited back on me at least 3 times worse than it was sent to them....no matter what the cause or reason...
however a voodoo priest can use his magick as a form of justice and have little fear of retribution from karma..
but ,,, they will usually only use this in extreme circumstances
and like most forms of paganism it does not bring an instant effect. it takes time and energy.
they are also able to use blood magick with little shame or guilt.
this is the reason for sacrificeing animals and such, to trap and use the burst of energy when they die.
if you wanted a voodoo priest to harm someone for you you would have to have good reason and a method of payment that would transcend money. the usually will not risk angering the spirits over something petty...

I practice Haitian based Vodou. I belong to a house in the US. I am not sure what you mean by seen things done. So I will say that I know how fets (services) work, ie. the order. I have seen possessions and I have felt it. I have been healed by the lwa and have seen others healed.
Every fet starts the same but they are all different. It depends on who the fet is honoring, who is present (there intitatory level in the house), and then whether or not the lwa wish to come down. When you have a specific question please contact me and I can give you a better answer.

I practice my voodoo very frequently, actually. I have a few dolls; of my neighbor's dog and my sewing class teacher, people like that. I would definitely say that they work because one day the dog broke its leg and the next the sewing teacher got her hand caught in a sewing machine.

I believe people who watch voodoo being done & actually see stuff happen are really witnessing a magician at work. I think it's all a scam....
Could be wrong though...
