The first law I would change is actually an Amendment - specifically the Fifth Amendment.
I'm sick and tired of seeing these dirt bag CEOs and other criminals confer with their lawyer and smugly reply, "I refuse to answer that question......................"
Let's face facts here. If you've nothing to hide - ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION! And, if you will admit guilt in some way by answering it, well, isn't that what justice is suppose to be all about?
The second law I would want to see revised concerns fines - fixed amount fines, to be exact.
Fixed amount fines (say, for instance, $250 for a red light infraction) absolutely crush the poor schmuck that's trying to make ends meet on a week to week basis while amounting to no more than an inconvenience for the clown making six figures a year. To me, this seems obvious that the punishment doesn't fit the crime - in either case. It should be based on a percentage of income - then the effect of the fine would be equal to both individuals.
And finally, my pet peeve, the law requiring anyone in a vehicle to wear a seat belt while at the same time allowing motorcycle operators to choose whether or not they wear a helmet. What the hell kind of lame brain logic is that?

This is intriguing - a great question.
1. I would repeal all laws that allow or direct affirmative action or preferential set-asides based on non-merit factors [race, gender, handicap, age]. These are insulting to huge groups of people - in effect telling them that they can't make it without a special hand-out from some government bureaucrats.
2. I would repeal much of the so-called PATRIOT Act. It doesn't do what it was preached to do - protect us from our enemies. It has instead been used as a device to quell honest dissent.
3. I would repeal "means tests" for government entitlements. You either entitled to the benefit or you aren't, and how much money you already have should have no affect on that entitlement. Part of this would also be a repeal of limits on social security taxation.

I would reverse the law that prohibits me from talking on my cell phone while driving. You need the cell phone while away from home and unless you're walking everywhere, wouldn't it seem obvious that you'll probably need it at some point while driving?
Secondly, I would reverse laws regarding the admission of evidence in a court of law. It seems that there are so many loopholes that help criminals get away with their crimes. Why does it matter if the evidence was obtained without the proper warrant? If it proves guilt then it should be admissible.
And lastly, I would reverse any law that gives non-US citizens more rights than US citizens. I believe that if they don't contribute to our society, they shouldn't benefit from it on our behalf. I work hard to provide for my family, including health care. However, non-US citizens get free health care on my dime. So I'm paying for health care for my family and theirs.

Legalize drugs. That would reduce crime and save the gvt billions of dollars in the bogus drug war.
I would eliminate the IRS and endorse the Fair Tax flat tax. It would take away the criminal IRS from stealing our money and it would help the economy immensley. If the IRS would be considered a "law", by the way.
I would eliminate local gun laws, in places where they outlaw firearms. I believe more guns in good peoples hands will reduce crime, abosolutely.

BTW, welfare was ended under Clinton, some Neocons need to read some and watch FOX less.
As recently as an Aug. 21 news conference, Bush said people should "imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein" with the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction and "who had relations with Zarqawi."
Democrats contended that the administration continues to use faulty intelligence, including assertions of a link between Saddam's government and the recently killed al-Zarqawi, to justify the war in Iraq.
They also said, in remarks attached to Friday's Senate Intelligence Committee document, that former CIA Director George Tenet had modified his position on the terrorist link at the request of administration policymakers.

I would instate a 12% income tax.
I would give the President a line item veto.
I would ask that Senators and representatives would have the same Medicare benefits and retirement benefits that the average citizen has.

I would repeal the 2nd amendment (thus making all guns illegal);
I would lower the lowest two tax brackets and increase the inheritance tax (face it, who needs money when your dead);
I would get rid of the FCC, or at least, really restrict the power of the FCC (freedom of speech, baby!)

1. Repeal all gun control laws. They all violate the 2nd amendment.
2. Repeal all 'nanny' laws. These are any laws to protect me from me.
3. Repeal all Federal welfare programs.
