Yes I do. I went to the farmers market and bought some early corn on the cob and it was immature!!! You would expect so much more from an actual grower, wouldn't you? Our grocery store has a garbage can next to the corn so you can husk it right there and see the kernels.

Yes. It will only happen once, then you learn. Always peel the husks back at the store to see if it's good to eat.

lol what a funny question. so random. =) even though the grocery store usually asks that you do not peel it, i usually do.. jus a tad bit so the "underdevelope" ones don't go home with me.
