Ativan is quite strong. If you have never used it before, 1mg should give you a definite relaxing affect.

If it is genuine Lorazepam (ativan), it should readily dissolve under your tongue without tasting too bad.

Of course since you don't really know what it is, the only way to verify what it is, and the purity would be to use a mass spectrometer. Good luck with that...

There are some horror stories about people taking drugs that were synthesized in a lab improperly. Sometimes compounds that are slight variations of the drug can be fatal. In the pharmaceutical industry there is a joke, "Methyl, Ethyl, Futile". The joke is that when something doesn't work (like say it killed the monkey they tested it on) try adding a methyl group. If that fails, try an ethyl group. And if that fails, well your probably at a dead end. A methyl group can mean the difference between a drug that works, and a drug that kills. Chemically, it is quite easily to end up with slight variants ... one mistake can be your last.

I recommend that if you think you need ativan, you should see a psychiatrist, and tell them about your anxiety. Ativan from the pharmacy is quite inexpensive, and at least you would know what you are getting.

I was on Ativan and i think that you should only use or purchase from pharmacy or your local GP. Some generic medication arn't always the exact same ingredients as normal brand ativan!

My personal opinion would not to take them at all. Take them to your chemist or local doctor for clarification. NEVER take medication that is either tampered or has no intstrution leaflet or personal required monotered dose.

Ativan is not strong it is the mildest sedative of its kind. 0.5mgs should relax you. I take it myself and have been for 1 year. I started on 0.5 (the lowest dose) and i'm still on that dose. I wouldnt say its addicting. But my best friend bought some online. She said it doesnt help her anxiety. So she just uses it for sleep.

You should be scared! Stop fooling around with Ativan...it's very addictive. Get into treatment! NOW!

You can't. It could be anything. If you are taking it without a prescription, then you are taking risks.

There are a lot of counterfeit drugs coming out of China, that are full of things you don't want in your body.

You should stick with reputable pharmacies.
