It's either "te gusta" (you like [it])

or

"me gusta" (I like [it]).

I think you mixed both up there; that's why people are getting confused and thinking it means "I like you" or "you like me."

Neither of those are correct: "I like you" is "Me gustas"; "You like me" is "te gusto."

Are you sure it's not "Usted me gusta"? That would be the formal way of saying "I like you"--if you are talking to someone of respect like an older person or a teacher or a stranger. (I know it sounds strange in English: Why would you say, "I like you" to a stranger? But it is the formal way of speaking and people do say it like that when they are not comfortable with informal speech with the other.) Actually farm boys in Mexico, when they were in love with a higher-class girl, always spoke to the girl in the formal--out of respect for her "higher class"--even if he was in love with her. So they would say, "Usted me gusta."

Okay, now that I've read the wise answers below me, I see you've misspelled "tú": Yes, they are correct. If the person said, "Tú me gustas," it means "I like you." (And the "tú" is the informal you--meaning the person sees you as an equal.)

Usually the "tú" and "usted" are optional. You don't have to say "Tú me gustas" because the listener already knows you are talking to him; so you can just say, "Me gustas" (informal). Unless you want to stress that it's him you like, then you can say "tú" for emphasis. (For example, if immediately before this, the guy--or girl--was asking if you like somebody else. Then you can say, "No, ¡TÚ me gustas!")

If someone tell you "tu me gustas" they are saying they find you attractive.

Okay...I just read the other answers and though the majority says tu me gustas means I like you, it does not. I like you is te quiero. I stick with my original answer.

It is not grammatical Spanish.
My guess is that they are trying to say "I like you" or "you like me" or something.

Here's how it should be:
"I like you" -> "me gustas"
"You like me" -> "te gusto"

The verb "gustar" is often used in situations where English speakers would say they like something, but means something different and has completely different construction.

Te amo- I love you
Te quiero- I want you
Usted me quiere-You like me
Yo le quiero-I like you
Tu me gusta-you I like is poor grammar.
yo me gusta - i like
te gusto-you flavor
yo le gusta- I he likes is poor grammar.
here is what's strange; fr English to Spanish
I like you - yo le quiero
Fr Spanish to English- yo le quiero is I want him.

it is a formal way of saying i like you, but, is not commonly used in conversation. Te gusto is much more commonly used.

I think they are trying to ask if you like them. but that is not written correctly. I think it should be "me gustes?" or "Te caigo bien?"
