No, tampons are very bad for vaginal health.

As well as preventing your vagina from staying clean they give bacteria a place to multiply, cause vaginal splitting, leave fibres within your body, contain chemicals that affect vaginal PH, and contain chemicals that can get into your body causing general health problems.

All of this contributes to an increased risk of vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis as well as the fatal illness toxic shock syndrome.

Tampons are best avoided at all times, but worn when not on your period it increases risk of vaginal splitting and puts you at unnecessary risk, tampons in general put you at unnecessary risk.

You can however use pads or menstrual cups, among some other menstrual options, but if you do not have your period there is no reason to use menstrual products.

no, it even says on the box that you are only to use tampons during your period. you could get toxic shock syndrome. read the pamphlet that comes in the box of tampons or even the side of the box, it'll tell you how to safely use tampons.
