okay so i liked this guy for 3 years. i kinda gave up on him and now hes telling me he likes me! idk what to do.. i mean he said that he liked me for 2 years. He never asked me out or anything but i mean he told me he liked me! Is that not weird. During the years i liked him he knew...so is he lieing??

No, he just realized you finally lost interest and is covering his bases by keeping you on the string, just in case he can't get anyone else.

Typical example of "you dont know what you're missing till its gone" before he knew that he can have you anytime and that didnt attract him and now that you're not going to be there he's into you

Maybe he was just to shy to let you know that he liked you. Maybe he thought if he asked you out he would get rejected. i dont think hes lying to you. Go for it.
