The baking mix is made especially for baking .... all purpose flour, you can bake with it, make gravy, you flour your meat with it. And that is all I know.

The question should be "Are these two items the same"?

But no they are not, all purpose baking mix has the baking powder, salt and sugar in the mix. All purpose flour is just that, flour only and by all purpose, it means you can use it for pie crust, bread, cakes, muffins, thickening agent for gravy, dredging your meat in, etc. but you will need to add other ingredients such as eggs, baking powder, baking soda, milk, sugar, fat, salt depending upon what you are making.

NO not the same at all. Baking mix usually has other ingredients in it besides flour. All purpose flour is only flour.

No. all purpose baking mix will have some kind of leavening agent in it to make it rise--most likely baking powder.

No. Do you mean Bisquik? That is not flour. You need to have both on hand.
BTW you are supposed to keep the open Bisquik in the frig. so it does not lose its.......leavening ability? I never knew that until I saw it on the box.
