i spent a day and a half in the hospital and am still on pain killers and havent been able to work for a week. do i have a legitimate case to sue the manufacturer of the ball?

That is really a question for an attorney.You have to read the disclaimer that comes with the product though because chances are that they disclaim any injury to you when you use it.

No, you don't. Obviously you used the ball wrong or were too heavy for it. Those balls have a weight limit for a reason.
