i dont know if i mean ciao or not, i know what that means. a friend of minetyped "cho" to me and "benvenuta" so thats why

if your friend is from northeastern italy, "cho" could mean "hey", but its only in some dialects and i dont think its the correct spelling, i think it should be ciò. anyways my interpretation works only if he wrote it before "benvenuta" (welcome)

benvenuta(o) does not mean "you're welcome".. Prego means you're welcome. benvenuta means "Welcome" As in Welcome to Italy is Benvenuta a Italia. Cho , well there is no italian word "cho" Ciao is pronounced Chow, and it means hello, and goodbye.

That is conversational (the way people really speak the language), not textbook or class.

Online translation will give you the inccorrect form.. if you type in "welcome to italy" it will give you something like benvenuto a (in) Italia. That is incorrect as online translators usually are, unfortunately they are very literal.

benvenuta means your welcome, in french it's bienvenue
and cho (I think you mean ciao) means goodbye or if said as ciao bella, means hello lovely.

do you mean ciao.. pronounded Chow. Both are salutations when people are leaving.
