I went to the manufacturer's site for my Visioneer scanner, located the drivers, and followed the instructions but after the installation I noticed there was no icon on the desktop, and nothing in my Start menu. I'm thinking I'm leaving something out and I haven't a clue what it is. I've been at this all day. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd really like to hear from someone who's experienced the same problem. Thanks.

DriverGuide, has all the drivers that you need for this scanner, I have used it in the past on XP, I also installed PaperPort, this lets me aquire the scans I want and store, modify and save them, the driver for the scanner does not put a desk icon on the desktop, you need a third party software like PaperPort, MGI Photosuite, Ulead, etc. this will help you alot. Good Luck
