Can I just boil water and drop the bisquick in, since I made the beef stew in the crockpot?

I tried dropping dough on top of the boiling water, and it turned out kinda' shitty, but, we were so hungry it didn't matter.

I cook mine in the crock pot.....

Dumplings
2 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk

1 . Stir ingredients until soft dough forms.
2 . Drop by spoonfuls onto boiling stew; reduce heat.
3 . Cook uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes.

yes. I learned another way to make dumplings from my grandmother a long time ago.

1 cup of flour
1 egg

add water as needed to make a paste, where it isn't to moist where you can not work with it. drop spoon fulls in boiling water, boil about 10 -15 min. depending on how big you make them.

Yes you can, I would boil for a couple minutes then let simmer in the stew to soak up the juices.

I believe so, or simmer some of the gravy from the beef stew and drop your dumplings in that.

If I answer your ? the way you ask; then for dumplings no you usually need to use the recipe on the Bisquick box for biscuits & roll the biscuits in balls & then drop it in the stew.
