Yea, I love how you assume that when people drink tap water, that they are poor. Interesting. You know what happens when someone assumes something...

It makes an A$$ out of you and me.

And for your information, I used to live in South Jersey and the water there is great. They test it every 6 months for various chemicals, metals and micro-organisms and nothing was found. Here in Southern California, I have no issues with the water besides the taste that I don't like, so I drink water that is filtered. By no means am I poor...probably more wealthy than you, you waste of human life.

Listen, tap water has to meet certain standards no matter where you live. The only complaint most people have is that it is hard water, or they can smell chlorine in it. A few dollars for a charcoal filter under the sink takes care of all of that.

Hell, the way you talk, I guess you bath in the bottled water. I make good money but damn sure cant afford throwing it away like that.

I am a retired Engineer. While working as staff eng. for a local testing laboratory in Laredo, TX. we had testing done on local tap water. Just on a lark we also had tested done on major "Bottled water" sources. The purchased water never beat the tap water and in one important aspect did worse. Tap water has needed and important micro-nutrients that distillation removes. As an Engineer I earned a decent salary, I'm living on it now. Are you wanting to say I "have no clue what's in the water"? I should hope not.

I don't know why you think that. There was a study done of bottled water and sometimes the quality was worse then the tap water. It depends on where you live, the standards for your state or local water company. They issue a report each year with everything in it and the quality. There are no standards that are enforced for bottled water. They could be filling those bottles from their backyard, how do you know? LOL Wrong!!!!

I am not poor, but not rich either, but I drink tap water. I know a lot of people that drink tap water. City water does taste better when you put a water filter on the faucet, but its not going to kill you.

You're wrong. I drink tap water, I know what's in it. I'm not broke. Question is, why pay for water in a bottle. Evian was the first bottled water sold in America. Do you think the fact that it is "Naive" spelled backwards is just some weird coincidence?

I drink tap water, I know what's in it, there is bacteria, bits and blah blah, but I rarely hear of people dying or falling ill from the tap water in the UK so bring it on. We're not 'rich' but our household gets £35k a year. Oh, but I won't drink water from the bathroom sink, because it isn't as filtered as much as drinking water, infact, toilet water and bathroom sink water come form the same place.

I drink filtered tap water. I am not by any means poor, and I DO know what's in the city water, which is why we have a whole house water filter system.

Depends where you live. I live near London and the water is kind of suspect but I haven't died of dysentery (yet). If I was in Bangalore, Bangladesh or Mumbai or indeed anywhere near an open sewer however, I might check with the local Health and Safety experts first before even *attempting* to take off my makeup with it (therefore risking an outbreak of boils) - let alone brushing my teeth or making a cup of tea. You can never be too careful. Well I think so anyway. Wottabout you?
