A barber should be able to help you. They have books with tons of styles in them. Ask him what kind of style will work with your type of hair. Now if you really don't like the color you can always color it. Ask him about that too. Personally I love red hair and curls. My husband has very thick curly hair but you would never know it because he keeps his hair cut to about a quarter of an inch. I wish he'd let it grow out. Good luck.

I have to tell you this, I love red hair and I am turned on by curly hair. Maybe you could just try darkeing your hair so it wouldn't be so bright. But keep the curls! Then make sure you use some leave in conditioner or anti-frizz cream...NOT good when curly hair is frizzy. Keep your hair changes to a minimum until you are sure about your decision!

Red hair is fantastic and very unique!

Love your hair! It's a great natural color. Do you know how many women spend money and dye their hair to get your natural color. It's fantastic!

You could have the hair stylist color it just a touch darker not to make it so fiery. Have it cut shorter and control it with gel. If it's way too poofy and fro' like - then a perm that relaxes the curl may be in order (relaxer).

Also, don't worry, natural red heads hair color tames and darkens with age and becomes a nice natural brown red.

Just keep it real short there are so many different hair products out there that you can do whatever you want with your hair. If you keep your haircut really short than you won't have a fro. Well this is only my opinion but I find guys with red hair real sexy!

If you go to a well trained stylist, they should be able to work with you and youir prefrences and come to a good compromise that will work well with your hair texture and give you a good change without trapping you into something. You could also consider a chemical relaxer, if your hair is long enough. You might also ask about semi permanent color- I have a lot of male clients that use semi permanent because it blends their gray and darkens the hair without appearing too ostentatious. You have a world of options! Ask your stylist.

Maybe finding a shampoo or conditioner that deposits brown colour will help tame the red?

And yea, get it cut really really short :)

keep it Short and use brown gel don't use the clean gel or mose or hair spry. the brown gel will make it look a bite darker and the shortness of the hair will make it nice and sexy.

I would shorten it and spike it and dye it another color if you really hate it that much. I think it sounds great as it is.
