I believe Satan himself tends to stay around policital leaders and people in authority(Presidents, Kings, Queens, Emperors, etc.) Because if he can influence that person, that person can lead a nation against another nation; or that person can persecuate other people. Like Nero, I believe Satan was around Nero, because look what Nero did to Rome and the Christians. That had to be directly from Satan himself.

Satan's kingdom is set up just like God's kingdom, God has high official(archangels appointed over certain nations and lands, which under those archangels are the angels). Satan has his high "general" appointed over evil, unclean, familar spirits. Its said that under Satan there are 10 rankings demons, which I believe each one of those demons had a high position in Heaven before they fell.

The possessions come from evil, unclean, familiar spirits which are very much different from demons. I know missionaries who have come across demon/evil spirit possessed people. I asked them how do they know they are. their response was this, "How can you explain a person talking back to you in 20 different languages with each sentence in another language when that person knows only their official language."

If you exclude hollywood and any product of theirs from your question, then, Yes. I do believe in devil possession. An excellent book, written by the very famous psychiatrist, now deceased, M. Scott Peck, M.D., entitled "People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Human Evil" is all about people who are possessed. Dr. Peck wrote many best sellers back in the '70's and '80's. This one was his second book and was published in 1983 by Simon and Schuster. When I first read it back in 1983 or '84, I thought the wonderful author of "The Road Less Traveled", had gone mad, but, being a now-retired mental health professional with 20+ years experience, I can tell you just how TRUE all his stories must have been. The REALLY SCAREY part of the book is the realization that he's telling you the truth. This is NO hollywood. God Bless you. Oh, and I don't believe in devil or demon possession because of Dr. Peck. There was a recorded case of demonic possession in France from over a hundred years ago. Where a girl was possessed for over 2 years. Many people came to see her (in the chapel) and there was NEVER another explanation offered for her behaviour. Which was speech in many different languages, spitting of bile, and unnatural body contortions.
This was in an era where for a common girl to be able act like this continuously would be impossible. If she had just been insane her body couldn't have gonewithout food or water except wine and communion for so long.
It makes me wonder what is out their and how can we face an invisible enemy?

i don't think it's quite the same as in the movies (again, "hollywood") but i do believe that it does happen. in fact, i've seen and heard it firsthand. it's not very fun or really exciting... i don't think that there are really "demon hunters" like there are storm chasers... if there are, i've never heard of them. but demons are out there. i believe similar to what the others did... but kind of with a twist. i don't think that what people say is a demon is necessarily a mental disorder... but i do believe that some mental disorders are actually manifestations of demons that have come to kind of make their home in that person.

i also believe that what people think are "ghosts" are actually demons... and also that the "aliens" are demons. i believe that satan would use any chance he could get to lead people astray, so why wouldn't he use demons to terrorize people into believing that there is another life form out there, or that there's not a heaven or hell when you die?

Demons and Evil spirits are real however you need to realize where they come from . Your mind will absorb anything your seance perceive. All good and evil comes from a conscience Decision by you to except them The more evil you except the father away the Holy Spirit Gets and yes you are pissed. Im a pagan and i belive that possessions r caused by poltergists that can not deal with the fact they have to move on so they try to take over somebodys body. they eventually leave because they arnt stronge enough to keep it, the run out of energy. they r not violent and shackin like in the exercist, they r just like normal people but may tlak a lil different and have things to say and many questions

Yes i do belive in it...its out there dear u cant deny it.I saw only the trailer of the movie..seems real scary...and the movie was based on a true story..but for real...i have seen people possessed.Its real scary..u just have to pray and belive that God will always prevail over evil no matter what is out there.Try not to watch such movies

Mental illness is being possessed by demons and is quite common. The other stuff can theoretically happen - most certainly it can - possibly UFO assisted and/or a very high presence of many demons.

There is demon possession. Examples are in the bible. Satan possessed Judas when he turn against Jesus. Demons can be as tiny as a pin needle. One person had a legion of demons in him. One child was foaming at the mouth.

What opens a person to demons is occult practices like ungodly spiritualism, seances, satanism, etc...

Since Jesus cast out demons, they usually try not to be noticed. A demon cannot possess a born again Christian, because of the Holy seed in the Christian. Demons can seriously oppress a Christian. By planting lies of unbelief.

Jesus commands the demon to leave & the demon is out of there. It is not necessary to pound on a person to get a demon out of person. Any child of God can tell a demon to leave a person, when they call on the name of their LORD & Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Demon possession happened in biblical times but it's questionable whether anyone is being possessed these days despite the claims of some televangelists.
