I had the same problem a few months ago I just got them out of the hole and took them to a local animal shelter. You should call around to see if they will take them alot of shelters or vets will not take wildlife. I hope everything works out they are great!

Young rabbits are almost impossible to feed by hand. I've tried, must have been a dozen times, and never successfully fed one without eventually killing it. They breathe in the milk and drown.
They have a far better chance just lying there, and your dog probably helps scare off predators.
The doe would have snuck back, if she has returned to the nest, to avoid attracting anything else to the area. She'd be hard to notice, and very quick.

ok, exciting actuality approximately rabbits and all "prey" animals. they do no longer lay with their youthful like "us" predators. dogs, cats, people and massive herd animals stay with their youthful to guard them. Rabbits have not have been given any genuine defenses against something, there is not any element in them staying contained in the nest! So, what they do is dig a hollow, pull some particular hair they advance jointly as prego out of their backsides to line the nest and concealed the toddlers in it. They go contained in the hollow and purely nurse once or twice an afternoon, jointly as in there, they simulate the toddlers to circulate potty and eat it. the entire element is to shrink the fragrance contained in the nest. the mummy rabbit many times keeps to be around the nest to distract predators from her youthful. She lures the predator into chase and optimistically out runs it. She's in all probability around, yet she is familiar with there's a predator, so she's taking part in it risk-free. she would be in a position to go out and in of her nest contained in the early hours of morning, like 4 am or around airborne dirt and dirt as properly. perfect suggestion is to stay far off from the nest, and watch it from afar. while you're particular she abandoned them, initiate calling community organic international rescues OR animal hospitals and tell them your subject. I merely those days took a touch one squirrel to a 24 hour animal wellbeing midsection and that they took it to a rescue contained in the AM. The squirrel became blown out of a tree for the duration of a hurricane and my cat introduced it in. good element I took it to the vet because of the fact it became dehydrated. in case you rather think of you are able to look after those toddlers your self, e mail me and that i visit grant you step by step training on raising wild animals devoid of making them relatives so as that they are in a position to be released to the wild as nature meant. i'm hoping this facilitates. thank you
