Make it a special day for her take her out to celebrate he "29th" birthday buy her a card that says 29 and so forth, many woman incliding myself HATE turning 30 and makes them feel old if you treat her like u think she isnot old at all she will neveroforget it and love you for it, , just make sure to spend the day doing WHATEVER SHE WANTS even if its BRA SHOPPING! its her day make it a memory for her

Before preparing a surprise party, make sure how she feels about turning 30. When I was married, I was thinking about throwing a surprise bash for the ex's 30th birthday. Shortly before the big date, in an almost fierce way, almost grinding her teeth, she warned me NOT to organize a party for her. It turns out she was very traumatized about the big 3-0. I on the other hand expected a huge bash for my 30th and got... nothing.
Now, for my 40th, I'll wait for no one to throw me a party. I'll throw it myself and have a splendid kick @$$ time celebrating the escalation of the proverbial hill.
So going back to your question, test the waters first.

I turned 30 not that long ago and for me it wasn't a big deal,age is just a number.But for some people it is a big deal,no longer in their 20's.I would say take your wife out somewhere nice have lots of fun,Stay out at late as possible.and remind her how young and beautiful she is.I would stay away from saying things like you don't look a day over 21 or something like that.Hope this helps some.

My fiance is going to be 30!! I keep telling him and reminding him it drives him crazy cause I am still 5 years away so he can't tease me for a while.
