From what I have seen so guyz can get hard just from kissing. I would take it as a compliment, it means he really finds you attractive!

If your boyfriend is between the ages of 15 and 21 then it's normal if he has an erection while watching a political debate.
His body is experiencing a whole new aspect of functionality.
All of a sudden vast amounts of testosterone are surging through his body awakening all kinds of receptors that have never been active before.

TOTALLY normal. He may get hard even just sitting next to you or when you walk in a room. Guys are very visual. It can take little or no stimulation to get a "rise" out of them...if you know what I mean.
