Did anyone book a hotel through asiarooms.com ?

Question

I want to book several hotels for my trip to Japan and Korea. I found this web site and they have better hotel rates than other sites.
I just want to make sure this Web site is safe.

I almost booked a room in Australia through them. They do have really good looking rates -- but, I chose not to book through them because... in Googling for them to make a reservation, I stumbled upon MANY MANY posts of people who were completely dissatisfied with the company. Try it. Most of the complaints went something like: traveling abroad... arrival at Hotel... Hotel did not have reservation -- and when people demanded refunds (and this is the part that got them to posting their complaints, I imagine) Asiarooms.com denied liability and blamed the Hotel. Yep, they kept their money, too.

Six different tales of travel-nightmares and complaints about this company encouraged me to look elsewhere. Be careful, if you intend to go with them. I believe one unhappy customer said: you get what you pay and in this case, [he] paid for it twice (once at the discounted, unrefunded rate and again when he had to book a room at full-fare on the spot).
