Watch your dog for signs of having trouble breathing.. If it begins to have stressful breathing, get him to the vet quickly.. It would be wise to call the vet now, and ask if benadryl is ok to give your dog, and to alert them

The baking soda was good advice..but not where he can lick much off..

Give 1mg per pound of benadryl right NOW.. watch closely for any kind of respiratory problems. Go to the vet straight away if he starts acting the least bit different. If it just happened you can plan on him getting a lot more swollen then he is. Depending upong how many bites he got, and how much he weighs he may have some problems you can't see yet. CALL your VET!!! This can be an emergency. But give the benadryl first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing to add, if you put ice packs on it helps greatly to lessen the pain. Don't leave them on for more than about 10 minutes at a time, take them off for about 20 and put the ice on again.
