Im one of those lucky ones, ive got good skin.
With my face, I dont use anything except water and moisturiser. ive never had spots or dry skin. I also dont have any wrinkles, whereas my friends are all starting to show their age. I also dont wear make up at all, I dont see the point of it.
On my body I use a simple hypoallergenic body wash.
I drink loads of water every day, but I dont follow any particular diet.
I think genes play a part in it, but I also do all I can to give myself good skin.
I may not be a super model, but I bet ive got better skin than them!

As already stated, genes does play a large part but a balanced and healthy diet will help not to mention good skincare products. Make up (contrary to belief) is actually really good for your skin as it protects the epidermis (top layer) and if you choose a foundation with an SPF of at least 15, even better! Just remember to always cleanse it all off before going to bed (cliche, but so true) Facials once a month are excellent as every four weeks your skin re-rejuvenates itself and a deep cleansing facial (such as Guinot Hydradermie) can really boost and help your skin along. Remember, the first things to start ageing and really show loss of youth are the eyes, neck and hands. If you can't afford a really excellent skincare range (cleanser, toner, moisturiser etc) then just invest in a really good eye cream and neck cream.
Top recommendations are :
Guinot and Elemis products. Espa are really good too.
Stay away from:
Clinique, Any make up range such as YSL, Chanel etc.
PS
Exercise is good but not running - this can cause the facial muscles to become loose and cause premature sagging (jowels) and crepy skin. Strange but true!

Genes those lucky s.o.b.s! This is a really good question though :o) It's amazing how in the same family you missed out on a set of genes for beautiful kickass skin.
If you have money, you can get close to near perfect skin by treating yourself to facial massages and stuff like that every day. I've never seen a rich person with bad skin.

I had great skin till I hit my early 20's. I didn't understand why. When I was younge I ate loads of rubbish junk food then in my 20's I aate healthy. I'm now 25 and I have tried all cosmetics and different diets and the only thing that ha cleared my acne up is the Pill Diannette.
I am still mystified.

Hello, I don't completely agree with others who have answered this question.Basically I have fair skin but due to stress and environmental factors I lost that glow on my face and also it became a bit darker when I was doing my 10th std.I used Fair & Lovely multi vitamin when I went to India and within one month I regained that glow on my face and within 2 months I became more fair and my pimple scars vanished. Also when I enquired about what multi vitamin creams do to my aunt who is a beauty therapist she explained that they protect our skin from environmental damage caused to our skin like from sunlight etc.I don't know about other fair and lovely products but loreal and other reputed companys also produce great fairness creams and multi vitamin creams.I believe that it can keep fair people fair and fresh without tanning.Frankly,I don't know how it works on very dark people. And also unlike some fake products shown on tv this product been widely used in India and elsewhere.Stupid and not working products don't succeed among people right? Now I use Orlane B21 cream and apply F&L multivitamin over it whenever I go out during daytime. They have helped me to gain fair and clear skin.

I'd like to know that, too!! Sometimes it may just be the fact that some people apply their make-up so well, or that they live very healthy lives... or a good plastic surgeon!!
Yep, I'd like to know the secret, too, but remember, we only have a snapshot of their lives - their looks - and they could be naturally blessed with good skin or unaturally enhanced.
Let me know when you get the answer!

Well I for example have lovely skin, which I attribute to my genes, lots of water, good moisturisation and lots of sleep. I guess I am blessed. Laughing a lot also helps.

Stay out of the sun and be sure to use an SPF over 15 daily even if you are not intending to go into the sun .

I'm sure genetics plays a big part. Of course a healthy lifestyle can't hurt either.
