I so feel your pain! Here's the best solution that I've found ...

1) A leave-in conditioner (Paul Mitchell) plus a strong gel (TextureLine Control Gel), within minutes of getting out of the shower. Other products work too, but I don't reco FrizzEase.

2) Blow dry straight(ish).

3) Further straighten / go over the blow-dried hair using a CERAMIC straightening iron (to avoid damage). The hair comes out flawlessly straight.

4) Make sure your hair is 100% dry before leaving the house. Consider adding a holding spray at the very end (Ouidad products are ONLY for curly/frizzy haired people).

5) Hope for the best! Humidity is hard to conquer!

I found this really great product at Sally's beauty supply. It's called Silk Elements leave in conditioner. It comes in an oval yellow tub and it costs $5.99. It's great stuff. I have naturally red curly hair that can get pretty wild and this stuff is great. Use it generously. It's much better than the Nexus, Redken etc... Truly a great find. Try it. They are distributed by: Silk Elements Inc PO Box 161156 Atlanta Ga 30321-1156. Got that right off the tub.

Take any of the following oils.....
Olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil, and apply to the hair, WHILE ITS DRY! Work it through from scalp to ends, cover with some type of plastic cap.. then take a towel HOT from the dryer, and wrap it around your head turban style..... Leave it on for about one hour, or even more for extra dry, damaged hair.
Wash your hair with a tiny bit of moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Run your hair under cold water. Squeeze out the excess water and apply straightning/frizz serum to your hair. Apply to the ends of your hair, not to the roots, so that they don't get oily. You might want to add some mousse for extra hold.
Detangle any knots using a wide-toothed comb If your hair is really knotty, try using a detangling spray. Do not brush!
Pin up the top section of your hair and use the round brush to blow dry your hair. Hold the hair sections out taut and point the hairdryer down to dry it. Do this section by section, so that your hair is completely dry. You may want to then dry up the hair, from the neck to the end of the strands. This makes it easier to get the hair on the back of the head.
If you have decided to use a hair straightener, put your hair into sections again, and run over your hair with the straightener. Grip one section of hair. Clamp the flat iron onto the top portion of the section. Slowly, move the iron down your hair. Repeat up to three times.
Brush hair, and finish off with a small amount of serum.

Tips
Before you get out of the shower, rinse your hair with cold water. This will make your hair extra shiny!
When blowdrying your hair, make sure the hairdryer is pointing down, so that all the hair folicles point down, which equals super shiny hair, which is the look we're going for! Also, before blow-drying, consider applying a heat protection spray.
Don't use too much hair serum or hair products, because you don't want your hair to look lank and greasy.
Some good products to try: Chi Silk Infusion or Redken Smooth Down, Nexxus Heat Protexx.
If your hair is fragile, use a low setting on the iron. If it's thick and unruly, make the heat almost the hottest it can be.

Warnings
Don't brush your hair when it's wet, because it stretches and breaks the hair. Always use a wide-toothed comb.
If you're in a rush and need to dry your hair, don't take the easy way out and use your hair straightner when it's wet. See that steam coming out? It dries out your hair. Always use a hairdryer prior to straightening.
ALWAYS use heat protection spray or else your hair will get damaged from straightener.
make sure you are getting trims regularly...you might even ask the stylist about long layers you help eliminate the bulk, while saving the length... just a thought...

and check out pantene's new restorative line they make one for frizz.... it rocks! Best thing out there in my opinion....

Well.. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy as well.. Things ive done to help my hair be smooth and silky is definately use conditioner and when blow drying it do it by sections starting from underneath... And same with straightening it.... Try the straightener called the CHI... its cereamic so its better for your hair than a normal straightener... theyre kind of expensive but definately worth it!

OK. I have the same problem.
I use a mixture of things.
Sunsilk(green one for anti-frizz)
Suave Curls(dark greenish bottle) makes hair 75 percent less frizzy. and OOOOO so soft.
and FRIZZ EASE! works like magic!
just follow the directions on the bottle.
BEST OF LUCK!

You'll have to use these shampoos and conditioners, and ALWAYS blow dry. My hair was like yours, and i got it cut and kept the ends extremely healthy, and I now always blow dry and style it with anti-frizz foam. I wish you luck!

the only thing I have tried, THAT ACTUALLY WORKS, is kind of expensive. One is Frizz Ease serum and the other is Biosilk, and biosilk is only available through salons. Frizz Ease you can get at Walgreens
