Remove the stingers first of all. It is probably a good idea to take him to a vet if there is a lot of stings. Benadryl can help as can aspirin and tylenol for the pain. All three are relatively safe for dogs, but dosing can be difficult. Generally, for a dog around 30 lbs one 25mg benadryl and one buffered baby aspirin or tylenol is good. You might want to do a search for the proper dosing or call your vet. Some dogs can have a bad reaction to any of the 3, but all 3 are generally considered safe for dogs in small doses.
A lot of people on here are going to tell you either aspirin or acetaminophen (tylenol) is horribly toxic for a dog. And they will support the other one. They are, quite frankly, wrong. Both have about the same degree of safety, but ibuprofen and naproxen sodium (alieve) are bad.

I would call the Vet clinic ASAP on see what they say. Keep an eye on your dog to make sure that it doens't have any type of reaction to the stings. The vet may be able to give you something to help the pain. Best of luck and take good care of your dog. Then get rid of that nest right away so it doesn't happen again. Yahoo has some good information if you just type in "treating yellow jacket stings"

Can you not take your dog to a vet? Yellow jacket stings are very painful and I do not doubt that your dog is in much pain. For now, I would let your dog sit in some cool water or apply a cool wet rag to the stings so they don't hurt as much ,but that's the best I can do for a temporary thing.

Please call a vet and ask them if it's okay to give your dog antihistimines and if so, how much? If possible bath your dog in cool water to give them some relief from the pain.
If the stings were quite a few, or if your dog starts acting strange like having a hard time breathing it's a allergic reaction and the need to see a vet immediately to save their life.
Personally, I would take the dog to the vet.

Give your dog a dose of 25mg benadryl for the swelling and itching and make sure the stinger isn't still attached somewhere. You can give your dog a dose of benadryl every 6 to 8 hours and it may make him drowsy which is normal. If you want or can give him a bath in baking soda with a little oatmeal that will soothe his skin.
Good Luck!

Call your vet ASAP, dogs can be allergic to bee stings or develop allergies to them after a few stings just like humans. Anaphalactic shock can be fatal if not treated.

I would call a vet right away. Even a small allergy can be deadly when there are lots of stings.
You can give him childrens benadryl, this will help keep any swelling to a min.
