www.annualcreditreport.com

Yes, you can get a free credit report once a year from each of the major credit bureaus, Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. So ideally you should get one from each bureau every four months if you are simply monitoring your credit report. But it is also a good idea to get all three at the same time, which is still free, and compare them to one another to make sure everything is accurate. If you go this route you wouldn't be able to get another free report for another year, you would have to pay for it.

Unfortunately your credit score is never free. It will cost you around $5.95 to see your score from each credit bureau. You will have the option to purchase your score when you obtain the free report.

I agree with the other posters about annualcreditreport.com. That is the only true government site. The others are scam sites.

I would recommend purchasing your score from myfico only. myfico is the only place to get your "true" scores. There is no sense spending money for fake scores. Even the credit bureaus scores are not true scores.

Go to the following website:

Everyone is entitled to a free copy of their credit report. This site will explain how to do so.
