I think you should start a charity, just like it said. Sometimes a dream is the answer to a question we dont know how to ask. Maybe your question was why am I here and can I make this a better place.

Sometimes dreams are just about what's been on your mind, and what you'd like to happen. You might have felt frustrated at not being able to help your aunt get better, that there was nothing you could do to prevent her death. This feeling of helplessness against Parkinson's disease may have been the stimulus for your dream. You see yourself as being directed by your aunt (the person you wanted to help) to do something that the dream aunt says will help her (and others like her). That's understandable, and admirable.

Should you start a charity? Perhaps, but there are already well-established charities and organizations that are working towards a cure or better treatments for Parkinson's disease. Establishing a new organization is a lot of work, and instead of working towards building your own organzation, you may consider donating your time or money to an exisiting organization. You could raise funds on their behalf (I'm sure they'll be happy to help you with that) while not having to trouble yourself with getting established and licensed as your own charity. Name recognition in the charity business goes a long way, and you would be the new kid on the block. People tend to be suspicious of brand new organizations with no track record. Helping another organization is likely to need less time than building your own, so you're more likely to have a more balanced and rounded life by helping another charity. Building any new organization gets to be a very involved task, and all too often people get consumed by their work.

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. Best wishes in your endeavors to help Parkinson's disease patients.

Many people have had dreams like this. Sometimes it is a true message, sometimes it is a message that sounds like it means one thing but later you will understand that it was meant differently, and sometimes these dreams are just dreams that happen because you are stressed, missing your aunt, or had too much pizza before bedtime.

How can you know the difference? One thing that can ease your mind on this is to know that those who get "special messages" usually get more than one, often a series of messages.

So what you need to do now is just stay calm and wait and see. If you are being called to do this, you will get more dreams, coincidences and other clues that this is your direction to go.

Maybe the dream is just the first one to get you started in thinking in a certain direction --maybe you have something inside of you that wants to work towards compassionate causes...maybe there is some management/administrative, fund-raising skill that wants to come out.

Those who study dreams say that dreams come in a sequence, so you might want to start a dream journal to keep track of the next ones you have so you can study them all together.

Also, some spiritual directors work with dreams to help you understand their meanings -- you might check area churches to see if they offer free or lost cost spiritual direction.

I think that you sense that this dream is very important so you are right to pay attention to it. However, when it comes to dreams, it's important to know that they are often symbolic and can have many different levels of meaning. You can be sure that if you are patient and open-minded, in time you will gain some clues as to what the dream means to you.
