myth, dismissed as quackery a hundred years ago

works on a principle called 'the placebo effect' and people's gullibility

Not one shred of scientific basis or principle supports it, none.

Edit: is something is 'working' because of a placebo, then it isn't working at all. No drug approved by the FDA for prescription use can work just based on a placebo effect. If you've actually studied any science, biostatistics or pharmacology in particular, you'd realize how unknowledgeable a statement like that really is.

Look in ANY reputable science, medicine, biology, health-related peer edited scholarly journal, and you will not find anything to support it at all. Even the basic principles of homeopathy don't make sense, not at all.

Seriously, people think there's some 'doctor conspiracy' to hold back homeopathy and other 'alternative' treatments when we're just trying to tell people the truth. We're the ones who've actually studied the SCIENCE that is the human body. It's bogus, a load of crap, and if you buy into it, then it's your choice, but you're wasting your money and energy.

I'm sure some of it works...and others are bogus. Of course the AMA will tell you that ALL homeopathic medicine is bogus.

Even if it works on the "placebo effect" if it's making the person better, it's WORKING! Whatever works.
