He was so into me when we were just starting to date, he even told me he wants to be exclusive. But, just recently, he told me there's no pressure. Is that a sign that he could be losing interest?

Maybe...start to distance yourself a little. Act like you have better things to do and find some other interest that will keep you busy so you aren't always wondering about him. As soon as women do this, they begin to come around. I think it's a way that men protect themselves from getting too close so that they won't get hurt.

As a guy letting you in on the typical male "playbook" (a nod to football season), I'd say it totally depends on how much time you've been dating. 99.99% of everything a guy says to a girl/woman he's interested in ultimately is designed to get in her pants. That may sound harsh and cynical, but we're wired that way. I tell my teenage daughter, "If his lips are moving, HE'S LYING!" The times she's thought, "this guy is different" has sadly always proven that ultimately dad was right. I know...I was a single guy and dated a lot of women.

Back to you: I'm guessing he's applying a verson of the tried and true "I'm a compassionate guy interested in you as a person" line in hopes of eventually making the idea of sex YOURS. Until we're married and with kids---guys are focused on sex more than breathing.

Back off in a big way. Show disinterest. Don't answer his calls. Make him chase you down until he gets you, and absolutely no sex until he's changed his attitude towards you. Buy "The Rules" and follow them religeously. They really work. I used them and had two large engagement rings within 2 months of each other (5 carats in total) but thats another stoy ;)

Go out, have fun, date others until he is begging you to be his and his only.

not necessarily, he maybe just feels a little over committed and wants some breathing space. Maybe back off a tad but only to a point where you are happy. If its not what makes you happy perhaps the relationship isnt right.

It might just mean that he's sensitive to you're feelings and doesn't want to push you faster than you want to go. And that's definitely a good thing!
