I have a really good televiosion series idea, I think. I have some character outlines and a few plots. I need expertise in bringing it to fruition, and getting the right people to look at it.

At last count, there were about a hundred jillion ideas for television series out there, just so you know how much competition you're facing. Having a good idea, or even a great one, is not enough.

First, you probably need more than character outlines and a few plots. You need to write a series bible and at least a few complete scripts.

Second, you need to either find an agent to help you make contacts, or you need to make your own contacts. This is a big hurdle for new writers.

Third, you should probably aim at a more realistic goal, like selling a script to a show that's currently in production. That will establish your credentials as a writer and give you the contacts you need to start moving toward the next step.

You should also visit the WGA site. You can find lots of information there and links to even more.
