Hi mate. Yes, don't worry you are not alone! I talk to myself all the time. The long walks are a really good idea as well. I suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after losing my father in very bad circumstances, and taking long walks, where you can be alone with your feelings, was a great help.

No (to the first part) and yes (to the second), and I think it's a habit we all get into because life is so fast that we get used to people ignoring what we say and half the time we find we're talking to ourselves anyway. So we get used to it and it continues when we're alone.

I talk to myself all the time .. and worse, I make myself laugh out loud. People do stare but on the other hand they think I'm daft and leave me alone

A walk is realy good to cool off or when something is bothering us. More people should do it.
As long as i don't answer myself i'm ok. lol.
Take care.

Oh yes all the time, in fact I have just started seeing a bloke and he thought I was very strange as he caught me having a huge, major conversation with my self. Its normal to rationalise with yourself.

All the time. I enjoy long walks looking at the country side clearing my mind of stress, and laugh out loud on my own. I think we all do. Enjoy being yourself

I talk to myself often because it tends to be the most intelligent conversation that I'll have all day.

I talk to myself sometimes, but it's thinking out loud. I speak to my dog too, she's smart enough to have learnt a few things like 'letters' and 'outside' but doesn't answer me back. I'd crap my pants if she did!
