My friend likes this guy, and she doesn't know how to talk to him without sounding like a complete moron. In English, I saw them talking about books they read. She doesn't know what to say to him. What is a good conversation starter?

find out where he works, and what he does there. if it's something big then ask if thats what he wants to do the rest of his life, if hes going to college for it and so on. tell her to just relax and conversations will come to her mind

Talk about stuff they like and if u hav nothing left to say about that subject move on to another thing that sort've haz to do wit it and talk about something u lik. But, if that doesn't work talk about something that almost everyone can relate to like old pets or something.

You need to find something in common. When you first talk to someone you know straight away. Basically you just can't stop talking and I'm talking about any old crap. You just keep chatting.
