I saw a product called Shine Happy by Natural Instincts. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and what you thought of it. OR if you've had a glossing treatment at a salon. Does it make your hair look oily? Is it smoother? What did you think of it?

Glossing is basically like a temporary hair color, without the pigment. So it seals down each strand kind of like clear nail polish, and it makes each strand a tiny bit thicker.

Since each hair strand has a smoother finish your hair overall looks shinier and healthier. A pro treatment last about 6 weeks, depending on how often you wash your hair.

It doesn't make your hair greasy because it isn't a conditioner. If you want a more "pro" treatment at home: go to "sally's beauty supply" I have used the L'oreal clear gloss in the pink bottle. Just talk to the clerks and tell them you want to try a clear gloss.

It should only be about $6 and you should have 2-3 treatments in the bottle depending on hair length.

I've had the glossing treatment in a salon once and loved it. I used to constantly dye my hair so after them putting a filler (??) in my hair, they then redyed it and did the glossing treatment. My hair actually didn't fade within a week and it was soooo shiny and pretty! It didn't look greasy nor did it feel greasy. Now I use the John Frieda (sp?) gloss treatment you use in the shower after shampooing in between salon treatments. I haven't tried the diy glossing kits but as my budget has become tight, I think I'll see it in my near future. :)

I have coloured hair and not impressed with the glosses. I tried one and found the colour on the box was not the correct one for me, I have an odd colour hair now and waiting through a few shampoos to get rid of it. Then go through the process of choosing a correcting colour. Arghhh!! It looks v. weird, but indeedy shiny. Hmm, its not worth it. Glosses do have a colour additive to them. If you have nice hair, think about using a more natural approach. Anything applied to your hair via chemicals will do something to your hair. There are temporary sprays that are available. Good luck.

Wash your hair with frezzing cold water to add shine. Conditon your hair while in the coldest water you can bear. It really works!
